Okay, this may not be the most exciting post, but as a mom, it makes me pretty giddy.
About a week ago we took our kids to a Fall Festival at the nature center. We had a blast, but a few of the craft projects involved coloring with permanent marker. My oldest two are 4 and 2 - the perfect age for making a mess with markers. Sure enough, they came home with permament marker stains on their brand new fleeces.
I was certain they were destined for the "play clothes" pile. First though, I checked around online. I went to the Sharpie website and listed amongst their FAQ was "How do I remove Sharpie from clothing?" They recommended a product called Amodex Ink and Stain remover. After visiting the Amodex site (which seems to be down right now or I would link it), I found out it was sold at Hobby Lobby (reason #53460 I love that store). I figured it was worth a try.
I followed the directions on the package and applied a bit of Amodex directly to the dry stain and scrubbed (just slightly) with my nail. IT DISAPPEARED! The stain completely vanished BEFORE I even put it in the wash!! I can't tell you how happy it made me.
The bottle said it is good for a lot of other stubborn stains so I'm going to give it a try on some clothes that have been in the scrap pile for awhile and see what happens.

Thanks so much for your Amodex testimonial. We're a small, second (working on third) generation, woman-owned family business and really do appreciate your posting. Call us any time for stain questions (877-866-1255) and you will get a live voice to help solve your problem. These tough economic times are all the more reason for Amodex to keep our Ink & Stain Remover's prices down and performance up.
We apologize for any frustrations or inconvenience you had last week. Our website domain expired and it took far to long to retrieve it and get it back up and running. We small business owners are up to our necks in work and "minor" details like domain registrations are easy to slip through the cracks. Our advice: keep track of your your domain renewal dates and never register with 1&1.com. Their customer service is horrendous!
