Pinky and the Snow Queen

Pinky doesn't often get "homework" from school, but when she does, she is SO excited. Her most recent assignment was to create a snowman for the class bulletin board.

Immediately, she decided she wanted to make a snow QUEEN "with a tiara and ruby red lips." She picked out every detail of this craft and, other than twisting together the tiara, did all the gluing and cutting herself. She's very proud of herself.

Here she is with the prettiest snow queen I've ever seen:

In case you can't tell from the picture - the tiara is made from chenille stems, the eyes from sequins, the nose is cut from orange construction paper, the lips are red, glittered construction paper, the scarf is a scrap of fabric, the buttons are plastic jewels, and the shoes are yellow felt with scrapbooking flowers glued to them. The "snow" is polyfill stuffing (because we didn't have enough cotton balls on hand).

A kid who loves crafts - what more could I ask for?
