Friday Felt Fun Feature

Life has been busy, busy, busy around here. Remember the room redo project I posted about before? Well, just after we put up the final trim and baseboards in the basement a pipe backed up and flooded part of the room. Thankfully the damage was minimal, but we did have to replace the 4 month old carpet. Thank goodness for insurance!

Even though only the carpet needed to be replaced, we still needed to have professionals come in and test moisture levels and dry the space out. We're just now getting back into that area - which is why I have not posted my crafts of my own lately. Soon...I hope. :D (And after looking at the link to my original post, I can't believe it's been almost a year since we started this project!)

Anyway...on to a few fun felt projects. I love the idea of birthday decorations that can be reused from year to year. I hope to make these for my kids someday.

First, no birthday is complete without the proper party hat. Check out Just Another Day in Paradise for a great felt birthday hat tutorial!

Next, you'll need a birthday banner. Nap Time Journal has you covered with instructions for this too cute Happy Birthday banner.

Finally, this adorable birthday badge from One Crafty Momma would be a big a hit in our house. It's the perfect accessory to make your birthday guy or girl feel special!

Oh, man. We're contemplating buying a house and it's thinking about those minor catastrophies that kind of freak me out. Fun felt projects though. :)
